Houston Police Identify Suspect Wanted for Killing Attorney at McDonald’s

The Houston Police Department has identified the individual wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a local attorney at a McDonald’s establishment over the weekend.

Authorities have named Anthony Martin Landry, aged 57, as the suspect sought for the murder of 46-year-old Jeffrey Limmer, the department confirmed.

The incident occurred at the McDonald’s located at 8147 Katy Freeway around 6 p.m. on May 4, prompting a response from officers following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered an unresponsive male victim with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, later identified as Limmer, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics.

According to information provided by Houston police to FOX 26 Houston, Limmer was shot while attempting to deescalate a confrontation between an irate McDonald’s customer and the employees. The suspect, identified as Landry on Wednesday, purportedly retrieved a firearm from his vehicle and fired at Limmer before fleeing the scene in an early 2000s blue Ford pickup truck.

As of early Friday morning, Landry remains at large.

In response to news of a suspect being identified, Limmer’s family released a statement expressing relief and urging for Landry’s prompt apprehension to prevent further harm.

Limmer, an associate at Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP’s Houston office and a member of the General Liability Practice, was remembered fondly by colleagues and friends.

Authorities have circulated a previous booking photo of Landry and offered a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to his arrest. Anyone with information on Landry’s whereabouts is urged to contact HPD’s Homicide Division or Crime Stoppers.
