The Kremlin has issued a stern warning to the United States and summoned its ambassador following a missile strike on Crimea that killed four civilians, including two minors. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov condemned the attack as “barbaric” and accused the U.S. of bearing direct responsibility for the deaths. “The involvement of the United States, the direct involvement, as a result of which Russian civilians are killed, cannot be without consequences,” Peskov told reporters on Monday. “Time will tell what these will be,” he added.

Their army and military objects there must cease to exist.”
