NATO is set to unveil plans at its upcoming 75th anniversary summit in Washington to establish a dedicated headquarters aimed at coordinating military assistance to Ukraine, in what officials describe as a pivotal step towards bolstering the country’s security amid ongoing regional tensions.
The initiative, named the NATO Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine (NSATU), will be headquartered in Wiesbaden, Germany, housed within a U.S. military facility. The mission will consolidate various forms of support, including air defenses, artillery, and specialized training such as pilot instruction for fighter jets.
