Biden Campaign Launches $50M Media Blitz Ahead of Key National Events

President Biden’s campaign has announced a significant $50 million media blitz aimed at bolstering support in key battleground states, despite mounting pressure for him to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race. The campaign strategy includes targeting upcoming national events like the Olympics to engage voters.

The media blitz will be concentrated in critical states including Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, according to campaign officials. In addition to traditional media outreach, the campaign plans an aggressive digital and travel strategy, focusing on mobilizing young and diverse voter demographics.

President Biden, accompanied by Vice President Kamala Harris, the First Lady, and the Second Gentleman, will embark on an intensive travel schedule across battleground states. This initiative follows recent remarks by Biden indicating a commitment to campaigning despite concerns about his age and recent debate performances.

Despite internal party concerns and a recent decline in poll numbers against presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump, Biden’s campaign reported a record-breaking fundraising total of $127 million in June. The campaign highlighted their organizational advantage over Trump’s efforts, emphasizing new ground operations as crucial to their strategy.

A recent poll by The New York Times and Siena College indicated a narrowing gap between Biden and Trump, with Trump gaining momentum among likely and registered voters following recent debates. However, Biden remains resolute in his decision to seek re-election, reinforcing his commitment during recent public appearances.

The campaign’s focus will center on key issues such as healthcare rights, economic relief for working families, and defending democratic institutions from perceived threats posed by Trump. They plan to leverage their substantial budget to engage voters during major televised events in July, including the Olympic Games, Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks, and the premiere of “The Bachelorette.”

President Biden will commence this new campaign phase with an event in Madison, Wisconsin, on Friday, joined by local leaders and supporters. Following the event, he is scheduled for an interview with ABC News to discuss his campaign strategy and policy priorities.
